Corey has been here since May 2008.  He is originally from a small Texas community called Champion.  Growing up in church, he felt the call into the ministry at the age of 15, and has been serving on a church staff from the age of 18.  He is a graduate of Hardin Simmons University and Logsdon Seminary.  He and his wife, Cheryl, are very happy to be living in Bronte and serving the people of this church.  As a pastor, Corey feels called to equip the people of God with what they need to serve Christ in the world.  He also has a desire to see this church realize more clearly how church is not about a service or a building, but who we are and what we do 24/7 as the people of God.

Originally hailing from the Panhandle, Brenda and her husband Ray (one of our deacons) moved to Bronte in the 1980's, and she has been serving as our church secretary since 1987.  Ray and Brenda raised their three children, all of whom are adults now, in this community and in our church.  Brenda has been a constant fixture over the last couple of decades and is a faithful servant.  Without her, Corey would be keeping up with the money, books, and other buisness of the church, and that would be a disaster.  This church is blessed to have a secretary with a servant's heart like Brenda.
